Charming Vietnam 16 Days

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh – Arrival

Our tour guide and driver will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to hotel.

Today you are free to relax after long flight and explore Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh city – Mekong Delta (Breakfast and lunch)

8:00AM: You will be picked up at your hotel in the morning, and we will bring you down to the Mekong Delta. On the way, you will get a chance to view the beautiful scenery as we go past the stunning rice fields.

Upon arrival at My Tho, take a relaxing boat trip on the Mekong River to enjoy the fresh air and the charming stilt house at the riverbank and then, you visit the authentic life of the locals and challenge yourself to bargaining at cottage handicraft shops. Take an adventurous sampan ride in palm shaded canals.

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh – Free day (Breakfast)

Enjoy a free day in Ho Chi Minh to get out and discover the city at your own pace. Alternatively, why not get an up close and personal history lesson on guerrilla warfare during an Urban Adventures tour to the Cu Chi tunnels. This underground network in the middle of the jungle was used by the Viet Cong during the war. Take the chance to climb into the tunnels and imagine what it would’ve been like to eat, sleep, work and cook – even go to school underground as conflict raged above.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh fly to Hoi An (Breakfast)

This day, you are free until our driver comes to pick you up and transfer you to Tan Son Nhat Airport for flight to Danang.

Arrive in Danang airport, our driver will meet you and transfer you to Hoi An. Today you are free to explore Hoi An ancient town – UNESCO World Heritage Centre

Day 5: Hoian countryside tour by vespa or jeep car (Breakfast and lunch)

7:45 AM: Our Vespa Drivers or Jeep car will pick you up and begin to experience Hoian countryside. 
Today you will visit a local farm, learn about rice, vegetable, and cereal crop cultivation, and experience the daily life of local farmers.
Discover traditional occupations in the countryside, such as weaving, rice-wine making, and woodcarving. Learn about newer industries like bird’s nest farming and aquaculture.
Head to a local family’s home for a delicious home-cooked meal, providing you with a unique insight into the lives of middle-class Vietnamese people. 

Day 6: Hoi An – Free day (Breakfast)

Today is a free day to explore Hoi An. Maybe browse the cobbled streets and art galleries or hire a bike and cycle through rice paddies out to Cua Dai Beach. Maybe browse for paintings, ceramics and colourful cloth lanterns in the town’s markets and preserved Chinese shophouses. If you’re craving a new look, you could pay a visit to one of the hundreds of tailors and get something special made. Hoi An is also known for its delicious regional food, so be sure to enjoy a meal at a riverside restaurant or perhaps partake in a cooking class.

Day 7: Hue city tour (Breakfast and lunch)

8:00 AM: Our tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer to Hue city.

On the way we will stop at Hai Van Pass which is the highest pass with impressive landscape in Vietnam. 

Arrive in Hue city, you will take a dragon boat for a trip on the beautiful and serene Perfume River and then continue to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the pagoda features seven successive tiers, each of which is dedicated to a human form taken by the Buddha and visiting the Tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the final resting place of Vietnam longest reigning emperor, set among forested hills and lakes…

Day 8: Hue fly to Hanoi (Breakfast and dinner)

Today you are free until time for flight to Hanoi.

Noi Bai Airport arrival, you will be picked up and transfer you to hotel.

Check in your hotel and you are free until 5:00 PM, we will arrange Cyclo tour for 1 hour around the old quarter.

7:00 PM: Our team will meet you and take you to the restaurant for dinner.

Day 9: Explore – Experience Hanoi like a local (Breakfast and lunch)

8:30 AM: Our female drivers will pick you up and start a tour to visit Hanoi city. Firstly, you will go to a very famous coffee shop to enjoy Egg coffee that is founded in Hanoi, passed down through generations, is Café Giang (Giang Café). And then we drive you to the Hanoi Opera House, local markets to see people selling everyday essentials, Train Street, Ho Chi Minh, Long Bien bridge, Mausoleum, Huu Tiep Lake (B52)… 

Our driver will take you around the small alleys to visit the old houses and daily life of urban people that are very little known by tourists when visiting Hanoi.

Notes:

• Please keep in mind that we do not go inside the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on “Hanoi City sights and street food” tour. This attraction requires a lot of time to fully appreciate so we recommend that you visit them on your own so that we can make the most of time you have with us.
• The above itinerary is subject to change, based on the day’s weather and traffic conditions.

Day 10: Hanoi – Ninh Binh & night train to Sapa (Breakfast, lunch)

7:30 AM: Our tour guide and driver will meet you at hotel transfer you to Ninh Binh.

10:00 AM: Arriving Glimmering Bai Dinh pagoda complexes, the largest pagoda, not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast of Asia. Scenically set on the foot hill of Dinh Mountain surrounded by amazing views of the exquisite river valley below and dotted and the limestone karsts dotted around which will take your breath away.

13:30 PM: Leaving for the Trang An Grottoes, an out-standing natural beauty of majestic limestone massif at 20 square kilometer rise dramatically out from rice paddy fields.

16:00 PM:  Get on bus to Hanoi and you will have dinner before going to train station for night train to Sapa at 9:30 PM.

Day 11: Visit villages for local experiences (Breakfast and lunch)

6:00 AM: Arrive in at Lao Cai train station, our tour guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to Sapa.

Have breakfast and leave your luggage at hotel before going to visit the villages as Lao Chai and Ta Van villages the home of H’Mong and Dzay ethnic minorities. Take a walk around to the villages to take photos and chat with ethnic minorities.

After having lunch, we continue to Ta Phin village – Home of Red Dzao ethnic minority. 

Day 12: Free day to explore Sapa (Breakfast)

Today you are free to explore Sapa local market or relax or you can take the cable car to visit the Fansipan Mountain.

Day 13: Sapa – Hanoi by bus (Breakfast)

This morning, you are free until our bus pick you up and transfer our group to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi, check-in hotel and you are free to explore Hanoi.

Day 14: Hanoi – Halong bay (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

8:00 AM: Our shuttle bus will pick you up and transfer to Halong bay

11:45 AM:  Arrive in Halong Bay. You are welcomed by crew team and transferred to the boat and have lunch.

After having lunch, you are joining some activities like kayaking, swimming or relaxing on sundeck to enjoy the beauty of Halong Bay. Overnight on cruise.

Day 15: Halong Bay – Hanoi (Breakfast and lunch)

6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Breakfast is served on boat

7:30 AM: Joining cruise’s activities.

10:00 AM: Having lunch on cruise.

12:00 PM: Disembark and move back the port and get on bus to Hanoi.

14:30 PM: Arrive at hotel and you are free to explore Hanoi

Day 16: Hanoi – Departure (Breakfast)

Today you are free until our driver comes to pick you up for your flight next to destination. Tour ends with Asia Eyes Travel.
